They are good companies, but the companies don’t make the right decisions. Goldline is one of these companies. As a California-based offshoot of the Butter Business Bureau, the BCA is focused on businesses in that state. Goldline International is located in Santa Monica, so the BCA has n in-depth profile on the company. Unfortunately, the company doesn’t grade Goldline International very high. In fact, Goldline International is one of the lower grades available. There are also many different complaints aimed at the company on the site, including overcharging for coins, failure to inform about price markups, and devious sales tactics. Another customer complains about how he tried to cancel an order two different times, but only one of the orders was actually canceled. This led to the consumer being shipped may coins that he didn’t want with any real way to return them. There are many other complaints that can be found on the BCA website, with many of them focusing on service issues.

At the BBB, Goldline International fares a bit better than at the BCA. Although the company isn’t an accredited business, there is no current record of what grade BBB gave Goldline. Instead, there are a number of complaints, which cover a wide range of topics. One customer echoes the sentiments from the BA complaint: The price charged for the gold coins didn’t reflect the real market value. Another complaint talked about the service of the company itself. Yet a third complaint talked about the product and services as well. Total, five complaints were filed through the BBB. These complaints show a continued focus on making money by selling a product but not always worrying about what the customers think.
However, it must be remembered that the Business Consumer Alliance used to be part o the BBB. Since the BCA split off from the organization, many of the complaints within the BCA system were actually filed through the Better Business Bureau. While there are only five complaints on the BBB website right now, there were many more before the BCA split in to its own organization.
Although there are many complaints about Goldline International, the company has made it a point to go and address each of these complaints in turn. On the various websites, including the BCA and BBB site, Goldline International has addressed the complaints listened. In many cases the complaints boil down to nothing more than a lack of communication. In others, the complaints are from unhappy customers that made poor decisions. An Investment company can’t be held accountable for the decision the customers made, especially when counter advice was offered. Because of the nature of the gold and precious metals trade, there are fluctuations in the market. Sometimes these fluctuations lead to losing money on a purchased investment. Goldline International can’t control the day-to-day changes of the market.

That being said, Goldline International has many service-based complaints against it. With over fifty-five complaints in the Business Consumer Alliance system, it looks like Goldline international should start looking in to its own business.

For any consumer to use them, the company must stand out on all fronts. With the lack of service that Goldline International seems to have, it is hard to recommend them as a company to use. The average customer can find better service through many different companies in the same industry.
